Is it possible to use CPYF?  Why write a program if you don't have to?

Using a program will be better but just if there are special conditions that
must be met before copying data.  If there are not conditions, you are
absolutely correct.  I am just proposing an idea based on the information
provided by the originator of this question and I presumed that if there is an
RPG program involved, there "might be" some logic included when  selecting
records.
