Ken, >That doesn't help those of us using digest mode. True enough, I hadn't considered that. Of course, to me the primary benefit of digest mode would be if it made skimming messages faster. And my preference is to just let them all get threaded properly and then use single keystrokes to advance to them quickly. That way you see all responses for a given topic together, and a quick glance at the thread tree with color coding will tell me if there are already responses which I haven't read yet. If there are, I know not to start a reply until I see if it would be redundant. And having them trickle in during the day instead of in digest batches is not problem either when I filter them into separate folders. I can just choose to ignore certain folders until I feel it is not disruptive. Doug
