Sorry Dan,
BLDFILE DAN,S,RECORDS,10,10,,T,,,NDFILE
DSPFFD DAN
Field Type Length Length Position Usage Heading
F00001 CHAR 10 10 1 Both
IDDULINK LINK,DAN,DELETEME,DELETEME
DSPFFD DAN
Field Type Length Length Position Usage Heading
F00001 CHAR 10 10 1 Both
Not very friendly but the fields selected in the IDDU do show up in Query,
like:
Select and Sequence Fields
Field Text
X1
I guess the only thing that IDDU is good for is Query. Sorry, I thought
it made the file externally defined for everything.

A list of data dictionaries. <g>
O.k., yes, I found the file I'm looking to create DDS for in one of the
dictionaries. But, then what? I don't see an option to create DDS specs
or
an externally described file that I could use in a HLL.

Dan,
If you do a GO IDDU,
1. Work with data definitions
3=File
F4 for a list of data dictionaries, what do you get?
