Hi, You won't get an answer to that... not even when you specify the Model of iSeries you have, the amount of internal memory, the type of disks, the protection they have, how the fragmentation of the PF looks like.... and many more things. If you've disk space enough you could maybe use CPYF COMPRESS(*YES), and afterwards set the logicals to rebuild, clear the original file and copy the data back. At least you can do the process in different phases. How long would RGZPFM take to run over this file? _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Notice: This e-mail message, together with any attachments, contains information of Merck & Co., Inc.
