OK. I think much of this is getting downright ridiculous. How many "C" programmers do any of us have maintaining our RPG code? And when I have to change someone else's code, I would not remove things I don't understand. What about the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I think we all code things according to personal preference, and if we run across a program where someone else does things differently, don't we just research and figure out what they did and then fix whatever is not working in the program? I don't really expect everyone to do things the way I do, and I think to keep hashing over it is ridiculous. Let's move on to real problems people are having with their coding. I'm getting tired of unnecessary messages in my email. I don't mean to sound harsh. Maybe it's just one of those days. Not me, but I have seen programmers do that sort of thing (remove code that they "tought" was useless). But wait, that *inlr variable is not reference anywhere!! it must be dead code and... I could just remove it} ================================== Would you REALLY remove it?
