Yeah, I put it out to midrange-l as well.  Just wanted a "quick and dirty" way 
to cleanup some records that go posted into the wrong FY.  By the time I get a 
response from the list I probably "could have" done it in RPG, but I was 
curious if SQL could do it....NEXT.

Well you asked this question on an RPG list, but it is worded like you
really wanted an SQL question answered.

RPG allows you to read multi-format files, no problem. Typically a
multi-format file is either a Logical view built over two or more
physical files, or it is a program described file. In any case, it will
be no problem for RPG to read it.

In SQL... well???
