I guess we wished already to much the last few days with topics like these.

Maybe we could return to RPG :-)  At least it works, and it is still
reality.

BTW, I always had the idea of event driven programming from within ILE-RPG,
connected via sockets to a graphical client (based on the X-Window
principle).  Fact is that I don't have time to write it... but this makes me
wonder if any of you ever tried the X-Window software from eXport-Ventures ?

Few, very few. But most companies are only interested in people that are
willing to spend money. By changing the platform, you cause a world of
people to consider your alternative platform (i.e., PowerPC) for their
next upgrade/replacement system.  The carrot is that it is a better
platform, the stick is that it would be _the_ upgrade path from Pentium.

This was more of a wish-list/fantasy statement than a pragmatic
statement.
