I understand about the service programs especially for 'common modules' . For this purpose these modules are used only for a conversion program that is run one time only for new clients. They wont be in use by any other programs. I did read abit about the %Open syntax. How far back can I compile programs that use the %Open ? Currently I have to compile at v4r4. In any case, Ill scour online for the %open info. Thanks alot. > My approach is to open the files the first time they are needed, by using > %open to check if they are open.
