Scott,

Boy you got that right. I wrote a service program to do some string
manipulation. Center, Upper, Lower, Proper stuff like that. A contractor
came to me and asked if there was something on the system to use to center
text in a field. I showed him how to create the program with the SP and use
the procedures. He looked at me like I was speaking Latin or something.
This is a guy who has 15+ years experience. I haven't checked, but I'd bet
my next paycheck he wrote his own Center subroutine for the program just so
he didn't have to deal with the program creation steps.

greatest features added but it is very difficult to convince the typical
RPG
programmer of how great they are.
