No you do not have them correct. There is: Dynamic Binding, which is what we do "today" and "yesterday" with the CALL operation. That is a program-to-program call is considered "Dynamic Binding". Whereas a call to a procedure (for lack of a better word) is a bound call, referred to as "Static Binding". Within the Bound Call, you have bind by reference and bind by copy as you put it. Bind by reference is a Bound call to a procedure in a service program--to a procedure that is not physically copied into the executable (be it a program or service program). Bind by copy is when the procedure you are doing a bound call to a procedure in a module that has been copied into the executable (program or service program). Hope this helps.
