If you have dbase, Fox Pro or Access, there are utilities in each that will convert the file to a text file. If the file has 64K or fewer rows, you can convert it in Excel. If you are receiving the file from someone else who uses dBase or something like it to create the file, they should be able convert it to a text file for you. IIRC, the dBase command is called "copy to". Used to do this all the time in Clipper. > -----Original Message----- This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Does anyone know if you can convert a DBF file to a PF on the As/400. Right now I have to FTP the file into my windows server, Use data transfer to create a database file, anf then tansfer the data over to the as/400. I would to do everything on the 400 and eliminate the windows box. Justin Houchin Lead Programmer Reliatek,Inc --
