This will cause the compiler to append the prefix that you specify to each field on the file. You then refer to the new field names in you program. Here is an example; FPSPRVLXX IF E K DISK PREFIX(PRV_) in this example every field would be prefixed by PRV_, so if you had a field called ACCOUNT, the prefix keyword would then rename account to PRV_ACCOUNT.
