> snip >I have to create a Join file which must have Key fields from both files, what >is the best solution to achieve this? > Hrishikesh one option is to create a file with your required fields/keypath etc and then use OPNQRYF to build the access path from therequired files. Not very elegant and not particulary good if you have a large number of records in the files involved. Depends if its a batch or interactive job. Some questions to consider: How large are the files involved ? Is this for a batch or interactive process ? If interactive, is it going to be regularly run - if so you might need to consider a new file for this specific purpose.
