This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I am beginning some earnest work utilizing RPG ILE programming and while debugging a module it seemed as if the variable values were not correct. I have changed the CrtRPGMod Optimize parameter default to *Basic because the help text for that parameter said that I could see the variables but not change them, *Full says that the values for the variables may not be current (which is the way StrDbg seems to be acting). Is the help text correct in that a module compiled at *Basic should have current values? If so, is there a parameter elsewhere in CrtSrvPgm or CrtPgm that might be causing this?
