I have used fldcsprg before very nicely, but not with a "called prompt" Question, did you compile the DDS with restore display *yes??? Are you using things on your screen like overlay, keep, putovr, ovrdta or usrrstdsp?? any of those might help.. oh wait, thinking and reading, you say the external call returns the field to the one using fldcsprg - meaning you have to refresh the screen to show the new data to the user, thus you will loose the fldcsprg capabilities. IMHO I hate to say this, you may have to go to two screens instead of two columns, "or" turn it into a HTML program with drop down boxes. Good luck Mark -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Smith, Mike Sent: Friday, December 14, 2001 12:42 PM To: 'RPG400-L@MIDRANGE.COM' Subject: CURSOR POSITION PROBLEM Hello all, I have a screen that has 2 columns of data. The screen is setup using FLDCSRPRG to control the cursor and direct it straight down the first column and then over to the second column. This works well when i enter data into each field by typing the data out. However, each column has at least 1 field that has a selection window attached to it. This is accomplished via an external call with the result returning to the field. When i Prompt on any of these fields the cursor positions itself to the first field in the second column. It ignores the FLDCSRPRG. Any ideas on what might be causing this, and how to correct.
