Hi, Qtemp is unique for each job, hence when you submit a job in batch, it will not be able to access/retrieve the file you created in QTEMP in the interactive session. One solution for your problem, you can create a work file in a user library, and clear the file each time you are going to populate records into it. I hope this helps you out. I have a Report program which currently runs interactively. The program accepts a list of Items from the User, writes the list to a work file in Qtemp. This workfile is used in 2 RPG programs which build various workfiles (also in QTEMP) and then a Report printing program uses the work files to generate the report. I would like to do the following: 1. Create the Qtemp work file containing Item List (henceforth refered as Driving File). 2. Submit the other programs in Batch mode. My problem is that will the Qtemp of my interactive job pass on to the Qtemp of my Batch job? Will the programs in batch mode find the Driving File object?
