you can test any character or numeric field for a valid date, the only caveat is that for fields not defined as a date, time or timestamp field you must tell the opcode what you are testing for in the opcode extender i.e. Test(d) for dates, Test(t) for time and Test(z) for timestamps. You also must specify the format of the date or time field in factor 1 i.e. *MDY *USA. If you also specify the 'e' extender you can also use the %Error bif to test the result. -----Original Message----- From: John M.
