Embedded SQL: ORDER BY

All,

If I do this:

        select * from file where field1 = '01'

and I want to use the order by clause:

        order by field1, field2

should I include 'field1' on the order by clause or is it unnecessary since
I'm selecting 'field1 = 01'?  Or does omitting it cause a performance
problem?
