Here's an example from Run SQL Scripts in Ops Nav that should do what you
want.  If you're not updating all rows in table1 you can add a WHERE clause
to the UPDATE statement.  Run SQL Scripts is an excellent source of SQL
examples.

UPDATE table1 SET (column1, column2) = (SELECT column1, column2 FROM table2
WHERE table1.column3 = column3);
