Thank's for the reply. I will look into this and hope to find an answer. The
reason I am thinking of this design is to send files to an external source.
This external source could be anything (EAI solution).

There was a thread on this earlier in the month.  Have a look at messages

see if you get any ideas that will help.

The thing I never understand about these sorts of requests is: what will you
DO with the data once you have it in some generic field?
