Using SNDDST

when sending mail using the snddst command how do you get the tointnet parm
to work?
When I send a message this way I get a completion message but the message
is never sent....
We are trying to send messages to people outside the company and can't seem
to get it to work

We use snddst all the time with the TOUSRID and have the directory entries
set with the users e-mail adress.
