Re: Sending an e-mail message

You will want to use the SNDDST command. It does just that. The problem is 
confifuring correctly the smtp environment. You could try to read the different 
manual and ask around but I suggest an easer way to set it up: Buy the 
Spoolmail package from Gumbo software (thats what we did). It has an option to 
configure the Iseries for email and it cost less that the time required to find 
out how to do it. And as a bonus, you will then be able to sen spool file as 
email.

Hello again everyone.  I would like to know if anyone knows how to send
a message from the AS/400 to someone as an e-mail.  I would like to be
able to compose a message on the AS/400, send it to all workstations and
also to some of the programmers in our department as an e-mail message.
