Then I sorely, wrongly misspoke.  And I humbly apologise.

My only point is that it is a fact that advances to our platform like RPG
IV, ILE, SQL, commitment control and even OPNQRYF are not well accepted by
our programming community.  Why would IBM fund their ILE development knowing
that our market is heavily comprised of slow adopters?  One reason is that
they developed ILE for specific customers.  The "chosen few."
