Can someone tell me how to describe a 11000 character field into SQLDa?

I have the following field lengths:
1). 1 char. 
2). 7 char. 
3). 11000 char. 
4). 11000 char. 
5). 11000 char. 
6). 21 char. 

Fields 1, 2 and 6 can be described easily by using sqltype 452/453. However,
the SQLLEN field in SQLDA is not long enough to store the value 11000. I
know that there is a long length field in the extended SQLDA datastructure.
But I am lost about the usage of this extended structure. 

Any help greatly appreciated.
