Scott, I have read http://klement.dstorm.net/rpg/pointers.html only twice so far. Do you think this link will help me do what I need to do. I understand pointers a little. Is it saying I can take a 100 character field and set a pointer to position 10 through 20 of that field? I understand if pointera points to fielda then whatever you do to the one it does to the other, value wise.
