Chris, I feel for ya. I dumped the original message, but I think it had to do with updating "legacy" code. I don't think that the people who wrote what you are having to deal with had our current ability to localize functions. But they -did- have the ability to reuse code by the judicious use of /COPY. I was only trying to point out that at the time these fine folks wrote those programs they had an opportunity to make your (and their) life easier. Hence the smiley. It saddens me to hear stories like yours and you just know that those folks undoubtedly call themselves "professionals".
