Hi Jon, I would expect that RPG would have to provide an ALWNULL keyword on D-specs. Basically what I'm expecting here is that the null indicator be hidden from the RPG source, in the same way that the length of a variable length field is hidden. Imagine having to do variable length fields by having a separate length field corresponding to each variable length field. That's basically what's going on with null-capable fields now.
