I asked that exact same question one day when I was in a class for DDS
programming.

Apparently the CAxx keys will return just the fact that that key was
pressed, and nothing else.  Apparently back in the days of the S36 it
was much faster to just set on one indicator and ignore the others than
to set all the indicators.

So, if you were setting up an exit key (such as F7) you would code it as
CA07 because you didn't care the least bit about any of the other information
because you were exiting anyway, and this would speed up the exiting of
the screen.

My problem is not that I don't know the difference between CFxx and CAxx but
just remembering which is which (now, is it CA that hoses my program, or CF?)
