What do you mean whn you say it doesn't work? I've used the DELETE embedded statement many times (by accident) even, and it works too well. Is the file in your library list? When you created the program did you specify *SYS or *SQL naming?? On the CRTSQLRPGI command, make sure that you point to your library (if that's what you want to do) and also check the Commitment Control parm (default is *CHG) which may be the cause of your problem too. Tell me more about the messages you get when you run this program.
