I can think of many instances when a machines serial number is not the
system name.
If you are only wanting to visually identify which machine, then either
might do.
If you are automating ddm or such, most machines are the same, but not all.
If the is an RPG pgm with a display file, the SYSNAME keyword in DDS
will have the same value as RTVNETA.
You use it the same way as keywords DATE and TIME.
The value only appears on the screen, and is NOT returned to the RPG.
