I'm trying to use commitment control in one of my transaction processing applications. There are three screens involved in the transaction process, and if F3 is pressed at any point in time, I want all entries to 'rollback'. I have journalling running with *both specified for the Record Images parameter. (I tried using *after, but I got the same results.) I have Commit specified on the F spec of the files that are being journalled. I'm using the DspJrn command to see what's being journaled. When I do a complete transaction from beginning to end, I can see commitment control starting, files opening and closing, the commit, and the ending of commitment control. BUT, when I terminate a transaction halfway thru the process, I see commitment control starting, files opening and closing, and commitment control ending. I put my programs into debug and walked thru the whole thing - the ROLBK statement is executed (no commit statements were executed anywhere before this), but the rollback does not take place. The records that should have rolled back are written to the file. How come the commit works, but the rollback doesn't? I've used commitment control before and have never had a problem with it. Any ideas of what I'm missing? Thanks!
