I have some code written in C++ that I did in school that works perfectly, if you want to hack it to convert to RPG (I haven't gotten to it yet) I can pass the code along to you. The best part about this one is that it is NOT dependant upon knowing a certain date. This works from around the 1400's (when our current calendar was made) to whenever you want in the future (year 9999 anybody? If anyone would like it just ask me! One our projects here prints a letter and we need to be able to print the day of the week of a given date. I know that the system value QDAYOFWEEK tells me what the day of the week is for today, but how can I find out the day of the week for a given date? BTW, the letter program is written in RPG - (just to confirm that it belongs on the RPG400-L list :).
