  • Subject: Problem with status line message

Hello All,

Last fall I wrote a service program that uses the QMHSNDPM API to send
*STATUS messages to line 24 of the display file. The message appears as
expected on most of the RPG programs that call use the service program.
However, the message behaves strangely in one. It appears highlighted
(white) while the "System Busy X" is on the screen. But when the system
finishes, the message turns green and is harder to notice.

Like all the other DDS-defined display files where the message stays
highlighted, the display file does not have a message subfile. No fields are
defined in line 24. All our display files are compiled using the same
defaults. We are at V4R3.

Has anyone run across this? Can anyone give me point me in the right
direction to find out how to fix it?

Thanks,
Roger Mackie
