At various stages in the development of ILE this kind of thing was
considered but the overheads were too high to make it worthwhile, and in
some cases it is not possible to do anyway.  For example a procedure can be
called and asked to supply the addresses of other procedures of its
acquaintance  Under these circumstances there is no practical way for the
system to keep track of who has pointers to what.  So even if you fixed the
basic service program connection problem you would not have handled
everything.

AGs are friendly - keep them around as long as you can!
