Harold,
You will need an account before you can test drive over a network but you
can run the expedite base command using the correct parameter to analyze the
scripting that you've entered. Doing that will load the expedite output
files.

Expedite runs a program that reads through files that you load with scripts.
You should have a book that lists the script commands and parameters. There
are 2 types of script commands. One type is connection and profile
information and the other is data related. Each type must be entered in a
different file.

When I was with Extol I created a set of commands that would actually create
the correct script line in the expedite files but I don't think ExtoL will
sell the interface separately, you have to first buy their EDI product. The
commands were much better than playing with the scripting but of course it
took awhile to create them to behave with the correct dependencies, etc.

I think the expedite software was written for the mainframe which is why the
documentation for the 400 is oddly written but they are written! They tell
you how to do set up and scripting, it's best to get copies of them!

Good luck!!
Bill
