The next time somebody brings up "technically slick" I'll refer them to this thread. I would propose MOVEL and MOVE, but I'm certain that I don't understand the restriction on using a data structure. Generally, when somebody eliminates a technique right off the bat, there's a reason. If Peter would share that, perhaps we could focus on his business problem and less on the particulars of the technique du jour.
