I'm trying to coordinate the use of SFLMODE, SFLDROP, SFLFOLD, and
SFLRCDNBR. We have several subfile books, but I'm having trouble following
the examples and matching the info with the DDS reference manual.

Why set SFLMODE prior to the EXFMT? I thought SFLMODE returns the mode on
the input after the EXFMT. SFLDROP and SFLFOLD are meant to determine the
mode prior to the EXFMT.

Why check the mode if it is *off and then set an indicator *on? Why not
condition the SFLDROP with an *on indicator and SFLFOLD with an *off
indicator? Then you set set SFLMODE directly, ie. *IN11 = SFMODE?

If my truncated subfile displays 16 rcds and my folded subfile displays 4
rcds, how do I control my SFLRCDNBR fld (SRN2) to display the right page
after I hit my fold/drop key (*IN11)?

Thanks for any help.
