Stefan, if you want the trigger to have the data or
current record from the last run, you can make the trigger
save the data every time it's called normally, as long
as you always end a normal call with LR off.  In
your normal trigger processing you would have to copy the
information you wanted to some non-parameter variable
in your program.

But it's not necessary to go to the trouble of calling
the trigger program with a blank parameter.  I would call
it truly with no parameters at all, like this:
   CALL TRGPGM PARM()

Then in your trigger program, do
C         if   %parms < 2
 .. do cleanup processing
C         endif

(or if you want, or if you're using RPG III, define the
*PARMS subfield in the PSDS and check that subfield to
find the number of parameters).
