OK.  At the risk of being rebuked, let me jump in in the middle without 
having read previous e-mails in this thread.

two commands I find useful.


1)   CLROUTQ
  - blows all the contents of a Q

2)  ENDJOB xxxxx SPLFILE(*YES)
-   Even though the job has ended,
      this will blow all the spoolfiles (except joblog) associated with 
that job.
      < Actually, not sure about other system generated things like dumps
