Ray,

It is hard to give an example without a description of what you are trying to
accomplish. The easiest way I know of to implement threads in RPGIV programs
that read and process input from a file is to SQL and UDFs that transform the
input.
There are also some limitations when you run RPG in a multi-threaded
environment.
I wasn't aware of one, which is that you cannot apply a file override in a
secondary
thread. That caused a major design change in the project I was working on. On
some systems, you will also find you may need to change your activity level, a
thread is considered equal to a job. In general, RPG and threads to not go
well
together.

Hi All,

I need some help on creating an application(RPG/CL) which can use
multithreads while running the job.
Can anyone give me some direction with examples.

thanks in advance,
Ray.
