>> I'm using a work around where I check for *OMIT by testing the %addr of the variable to an uninitialized pointer. Now everything works fine. This isn't a "work round" - this is the way you should do it. You don't show how you call CEETSTA, or how you originally tested, but for any procedure that permits *OMIT the only simple way to test for the presence of the parm is to test its %addr against *null (or a null pointer). Using %Parms doesn't work because all parameters (including the *OMIT ones) have to be passed. *OMIT means you can pass the special value *OMIT not that you leave the parameter off. Could give you a more definitive answer if I could see your code. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
