All, Wierd things are happening when using CEETSTA to determine whether any *OMIT parms are passed. I have a procedure which has three arguments, the first two of which allow *OMIT. Based on those values, I build a select statment then execute embedded sql. I am testing for the existence of *OMIT with the CEETSTA api. Well, it only works once. Every iteration after that, the first sql select stmt is used. In debug, if I step into the pgm, it works fine. I'm using a work around where I check for *OMIT by testing the %addr of the variable to an uninitialized pointer. Now everything works fine. Anyone know what the deal is with CEETSTA?
