Besides recommending to debug the program, I found some information on "DB2 UDB
for AS/400 Advanced Database Functions", Chapter 5 (Databse Triggers)

Hi all....my trigger program is causing a CPF502B error on an update to a
file.  Message detail is Error occurred in trigger program. There doesnt
seem to be any other messages to point to what the problem may be, anyone
come accross this CPF message before, or any suggestion to try and narrow
down the cause?
