I agree that life would be much nicer if we could populate a timestamp
directly from the API's... or perhaps something like:
C *dts move api_stamp rpg_stamp
I don't know if this helps you, but this is how I generally populate my
timestamps from the system clock... I imagine you could adapt it to your
purposes...
