With respect, I disagree with your opinion Jim. The RTFM response should not be given on any list, but clear direction of what manual should be read. This then would not cause the entry level person to be afraid of asking a question. I was afraid to say anything in the very beginning and for months just read stuff. Now that I have gotten to feel I know I can say what I think, my fear is gone. But surely, the RTFM stuff had me running scared. Someone asks, "How do I create a web page in RPG" and will a lot of the times get RTFM responses. With a list dedicated to eRPG people will be more open to ask questions relating to the very confusing world of CGI, HTTP, and RPG that's all intermixed. I actually know of a programmer who had never touched an AS/400 who's shop got one, and inside of 2 months of being introduced to RPG had a functioning interactive web page up and running. This was back when V3R7M0 was the latest and greatest. We need to get used to thinking outside of the box. I think a new eRPG list would help us out, and we would get more questions of a "I have no idea where to start" nature. Regards, Jim Langston "Bartell, Aaron L.
