     Dwight,

What you are looking for is a free optional feature of OS400. It is
option 13 - OS/400 - System Openness Includes. It can be installed
     from your OS400 install CDs.

     hth,
     Eric

Subject: Where is library QSYSINC?

Based on some of the recent discussions of what name to use, I will simply
use the name RPG.

We are replacing one of our AS/400s with a new one. I would like to move
the spool files between the two boxes. While I know there are many ways to
do this, I thought this might be an interesting time to try to use some of
the API's and pointer "stuff" in RPG.

I looked in the manuals and found an ILE RPG example of "using keys with
list spooled file API". I plan on using this to list the contents of an
output queue, take the spooled files that are found, and perform a
SNDTCPSPLF command to the new 400.

When I attempted to compile the program, the compiler could not find
library QSYSINC. It is attempting to copy a member called QUSEC from file
QRPGLESRC.

Do I need to install something else using the install CD's that came with
my V4R5 CDs (we recently upgraded)? If so, what?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I could do this by copying the
WRKOUTQ print to a database file and process that but then I might be
revealing my age.

Thanks in advance.

Dwight Slessman
