The naming of the package that contains the RPG compilers for the AS/400
has been a source of confusion for some time. When you purchase the RPG
compiler (5769-RG1), you get:

ILE RPG for AS/400 - RPG IV syntax; type RPGLE
S/36 compatible RPG II for AS/400 - RPG II S/36 syntax; type RPG36
S/38 compatible RPG III for AS/400 - RPG III S/38 syntax; type RPG38
RPG for AS/400 - RPG III AS/400 syntax; type RPG
*PRV ILE RPG for AS/400 - *PRV RPG IV support

ILE RPG is RPG IV syntax.

The manual "AS/400 ILE RPG/400 Programmer's Guide" covers all the features
of RPG IV and also covers subprocedures which requires that you use the ILE
environment.

I hope this clears this up a little bit.
