Simon, to follow up on Hans telling you that it's already fixed
in the next release ...

The obvious circumvention is to use 0, but a better one is to assign
the null literal '' to cmdString.

You said you thought *LOVAL and *HIVAL should be supported to.
Hans didn't mention that the compiler now only allows *ZERO, not
*LOVAL or *HIVAL.  But *LOVAL means the same as *ZERO.  *HIVAL
isn't really defined - is it the maximum for the 5u 0 (not 4b 0 or
5b 0) length part or is it the maximum for the length of the variable?

Anyway, you can get the exact equivalent of meaningfully setting
the length to *HIVAL by assigning *BLANKS.

I don't know if you'd get a PTF for this, but I guess you could try.
But you'd probably be given the circumventions I just gave you.
