I've read your message again, Jim.  I'm stumped, I can't see why you think
I was missing the point?  

At any rate, the real point of my post (aside from the tangent I went off
on) is that the argument is pointless.  If you don't like these operators,
don't vote for them.  If you do vote for them.  Let the majority decide.
