I don't think the UIM CMDLINE dialogue command invokes QUSCMDLN, rather I think it invokes QUICLINE. If you look at the program stack while the SEU command line is active you will see that QUSCMDLN is not there ... therefore they must have their own interface. Also notice that QUSCMDLN displays a title of "Command" but the SEU version displays "System Command". >Yet it also says that the position of the window cannot be changed. Which is also true. Many years ago I sent code to the MIDRANGE-L (in response to a comment by Mark Lazarus on 13th Dec 95 -- now is that raising the dead or what!?!) that used UIM, CL, and C to create a replacement for QUSCMDLN that supported a user specified starting line and adjusted the command window for wide screens. The C code is about 10 lines and could easily be replaced with RPG IV. The MIDRANGE archives don't go back that far but I could probably dredge up the code if anyone is interested.
